Corinne Lemal Danielson has served as Executive Director for Sari Center with primary administrative and development responsibility since March of 2009. She assesses new patients and helps them navigate cancer-related services, treatment decisions, and lifestyle modifications. Ms. Danielson has her master of public health degree from Emory University in behavioral science and health education and completed her undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Portuguese and Ibero-American Studies. She is proficient in Portuguese and Spanish, has been a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) since 1996, and has been a leader in the non-profit community in South Florida since 2000. Through her multicultural experiences, having lived throughout Latin America including Paraguay, Costa Rica, Brazil and Mexico, she has been exposed to health beliefs and healing practices from all over the world, many of which have been proven to improve the quality of life of cancer patients.
Corinne’s passion is exploring natural health and wellness studies, therapies, and nutrition research to learn more about anti-cancer strategies, human wellness and behavior change. She has trained in the practice of Mindfulness and as a Wellness Coach, and in the fall of 2017 had the incredible opportunity to train with Dr. Kelly Turner, author of NY Times bestselling book Radical Remission; Surviving Cancer Against All Odds; The 9 Key Factors That Can Make a Real Difference. She is now a certified teacher of the course that accompanies the book and has learned a tremendous amount from her fellow teachers who are radical remission survivors. Corinne is available by appointment to meet with patients one-on-one for a more in-depth assessment and plan of recommendations.
