This is a single orientation and information session with instructor Gus Castellanos, MD to introduce the 8-week course that starts on January 29, 2020. It is an opportunity to learn more about Mindfulness in general and the logistics of the course. Please come if you are interested in this program to explore your questions, learn more, and register for the course.
Modeled after the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program (MBSR) pioneered by the University of Massachusetts Center for Mindfulness, this comprehensive 8-week course, now in it’s 10th year at Sari Center, has helped hundreds of thousands with burn-out, pain, anxiety, depression, insomnia, inflammatory conditions, grief and work and family stress.
Our instructor for the course is Gus Castellanos, MD retired neurologist and sleep specialist who is certified by the University of Massachusetts to teach MBSR. One must register for the full 8-weeks before the start of the course. We provide financial assistance to those who need it to attend.
