When confronting a major life illness, knowing you are not alone is very important.
An ovarian patient support group facilitated by Patty Liebman, LCSW, OSW-C, Certified Oncology Counselor. This group is open to individuals going through treatment for ovarian or other gynecological cancer.
If you are a caregiver, please take some time for yourself! You need support too!
A general caregiver support group facilitated by Patty Liebman, LCSW, OSW-C, Certified Oncology Counselor. This group is open to loved ones directly involved in the care of a cancer patient (family members, spouses/partners, friends), and was developed to support the unique needs common to cancer caregivers.

This is a single orientation and information session with instructor Gus Castellanos, MD to introduce the 8-week course that starts on January 29, 2020. It is an opportunity to learn more about Mindfulness in general and the logistics of the course. Please come if you are interested in this program to explore your questions, learn more, and register for the course.
This is a group for young adult survivors (target age of 18-39 years old) who are looking for support and connection with others. It is facilitated by Patricia Liebman, LCSW, OSW-C and is the companion group to the Young Adult Social Group that meets on the opposite months from the support group.

Modeled after the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program (MBSR) pioneered by the University of Massachusetts Center for Mindfulness, this comprehensive 8-week course, now in it’s 10th year at Sari Center, has helped hundreds of thousands with burn-out, pain, anxiety, depression, insomnia, inflammatory conditions, grief and work and family stress.
Our instructor for the course is Gus Castellanos, MD retired neurologist and sleep specialist who is certified by the University of Massachusetts to teach MBSR. One must register for the full 8-weeks before the start of the course. We provide financial assistance to those who need it to attend.
